...New UPDATE, AVIATION, MARINE...
.UPDATE...
Issued at 741 PM EST Fri Jan 17 2025
Early evening KTBW radar imagery is showing areas of light rain
lifting north through southwest Florida ahead of a warm front
that is forecast to pass through overnight. While the rain is
largely expected to dissipate over the next couple of hours before
it lifts too much farther north, low clouds are expected to fill
in overnight as moisture lifts north with the front, and some
areas of fog cannot be completely ruled out either.
For the evening forecast update, some minor tweaks were made to
the rain chances overnight to keep up with radar trends. Otherwise
the forecast looks on track for cloudy conditions and warmer
temperatures on Saturday, then the next cold front arriving
Sunday.

.AVIATION...
(00Z TAFS)
Issued at 741 PM EST Fri Jan 17 2025
A warm front lifting north through the area this evening is
bringing light rain and mist, as well as MVFR/IFR ceilings into
southwest Florida. While the rain is forecast to dissipate over
the next few hours, the low clouds will continue to expand north
through the area overnight, with periods of IFR/LIFR ceilings
expected, and perhaps some areas of fog as well. Ceilings will
lift out by around 21z Saturday, allowing VFR conditions to
return.
&&
.MARINE...
Issued at 741 PM EST Fri Jan 17 2025
As a warm front lifts north through the waters tonight, light rain
and mist and perhaps some sea fog will be possible off the coast
of southwest Florida through Saturday morning. The next cold front
will move southeast through the waters early Sunday morning
through the afternoon, bringing chances of showers and winds
turning to northerly behind the front and increasing to Small
Craft Exercise Caution of perhaps Small Craft Advisory levels.
Winds will stay elevated through the first half of the week, and
another front is forecast to arrive on Wednesday, bringing more
rain chances and Small Craft Advisory headlines.
